BOARD 7.IMP scoring. what is the most descriptive bid? Would it be the same if it is MP scoring ?

Some might choose to pass this, but we play a weak NT and would have opened 1NT. Playing a strong NT, you presumably rebid 2NT to show the weak NT type hand.

I think the idea of opening 1NT when 4-5 in the majors is horrible!

Playing SEF it is a systematic 2♥ rebid, maybe also playing SAYC in order to allow responder to bid a nonforcing 2NT.
Playing 2/1, 2NT or maybe even 2♠ may be an option, depending on style.
Playing Acol I would have opened 1NT.
I wouldn't blame partner for having passed, or opened 1♣, by the way. But I would probably open 1♥ myself.

The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

Yes, it is unpleasant. But I would argue that rebidding that heart suit is even more unpleasant and reversing is completely wrong. There is a lot to be said for passing on a hand that has defence but little playing strength.

Reversing is the systemic bid here in our style of 2/1 with strong NT - but then pass was the systemic first call too (and if I really had to bid it would be 1C).
