Scoring: Rubber

1 - 2
3 - 3NT!

1 was in a limited opening context, hence the 3 rebid. 2 was natural and promised invitational values. The 3NT was a state of the match bid given the contest.*

Anyway, you end up in 3NT on the lead of the 9 to the J.

What's your line?

*The contest is a knockout event. You play 40 hands of rubber bridge with normal rubber scoring. The pair that has the most total points at the end wins. There's a lot of luck involved and in this particular match we were especially unlucky. Our opponents had the preponderance of the points on 23 of the 36 boards we played before we resigned.

Ducking seems the best start, to break opponents' communication. You still hold your double stopper, and now you'll easily be able to get your s high. In the end you may need an endplay to get to your s.
