Scoring: MP

Bidding
1-p- 1-dble
?

I am still a relative newcomer to 5 card major systems having grown up with Acol 12-14 no trump. Playing 2/1 with Walsh structure after 1 what do you bid now? Also in general what kind of hand would be shown by:
1. Pass
2. 1nt
3. 2
4. rdbl
If you have agreed not to play support redoubles, do these choices mean the same thing?

I wouldn't know what RDbl is, but 1NT is clear imo. Supporting would indicate a poor Major and (3)4+s.

I would understand these bids this way :

Pass : nothing interesting to add.
1NT : good minimum, stoppers in the majors. The given hand is fine for 1NT.

Playing support XX in diamonds :
2D and XX : diamond support

Not playing support XX in diamonds :
2D : support
XX : a bit ambiguous, strong hand, likely trying to penalize opponents

pass: Quite weak in the context of the bidding, balanced, no good fit.

XX support with three cardfs if discussed, else strong hand with no other clear bid

1 NT: A Hand where you had jumped to 2 NT without opps bidding.

2 Diamond 4+ card fit, weak if inf. minor is not established.

I would pass and bid 1 NT later...
Kind Regards

I don't know if the following is non-standard but this looks logical to me:

1-p-1-dbl
?
In the context of a 15-17 1nt opening:

1nt = 12-14 balanced both majors stopped
2 = 4 card diamond support
pass = 12-14 balanced, at least 1 major not stopped
redouble = balanced with 3 diamonds and at least 1 major not stopped
2nt = balanced 18-19 with both majors stopped

With 18-19 balanced, say:
AQxx
Jx
Axx
AKxx

then redouble and if opps take out into:
1nt you double for take outl
2 you double for take-out
2 you bid 2nt showing 18-19
2 you use judgement according to vulnerability, double for penalties or 2nt
