How many more threads are you planning on starting? This is the third. Did you read my post in your previous thread or does it not suit you to do so. You have asked for two to be closed already. I am actually quite surprised that they haven't all been deleted so far. Is 1998 the year of your birth?

Having said this, these post are "silly". The reason why is the poll on the forum only allow 20 entries, and we have thousands of TDs (some with power to start tournaments, some who just "help out" even though they can not start them themselves). I myself know for a fact the best TD is a fellow called Inquiry, and I note he is not mentioned in any of the polls. He is fair, level headed, and treats everyone with respect, and even post all the results on the web after his tournaments... how can you beat that?
I just have a hard time imagiing the motivation behind these polls. I am trying to remember if any of these TD's have lost their TD rights or been suspended by the BBO. I am trying to remember if any of these are associated with pay tournaments. That is, I am trying to determine why post this in the first place. It is clear, other will win everytime, assuming people bother to vote, if for no other reason as a protest against the concept of thes polls. I guess a better way would be "which of this limited group of TD's is the best", at least then, no one could say we should all vote for Inquiry but he is not in the list.
I will say this, future "who is the best TD" polls by Nik1998 will probably be deleted if for no other reason than because we are getting tired of locking them at his request, and three on this subject has to be enough.

This means that you can count out everybody who bans psyching or applies other restrictions that are not covered by the laws of bridge.
You only learn how capable he/she is, if you ever needed him/her to make a difficult decision at your table.
A lot (if not most) of the free tourneys are hosted by friendly people who try to have fun or allow others to have fun playing some kind of tourney. They do not know much about the laws of bridge, but they are trying hard to make everybody as comfortable as possible. We should thank them for what they do and accept the fact, that they are hosts and not TD's. If you don't like what they offer, remember that you are not forced to participate and pick another tourney.

Really there is no way to quantify this. Some TDs might be great for a certain audience but horrible for another.

And this bothers you because there are so many free unaffiliated games out there that you just can't choose which one to play in?
And for pay tournaments, well, if people don't like 'em, people won't pay to play in them, so as far as I'm concerned they police themselves.
