Played last night, with a pick up partner I held...

Scoring: IMP

Partner opened 1!h, here is the auction

1-(1)-2!-(3)
3-(pass)-4!-(DBL)
Pass-(Pass)-4-(DBL)
All pass

Yes, i bid 2, 4 diamonds and then 4H. Here is what happened. I thought partner opened 1D, and then rebid 3H. The double woke me up when i reexamined the auction. 4Hx was two away, 4S always make six EW. West was 2-0-5-6

Partner did make a single comment about my poor bidding... can't blame him for that. We picked up 5 very undeserved imps and won the match by 3.

What was the overcall?

2 so that 2 was insufficient or was it 1 or perhaps 2?
