♠ AKQT4
♥ 3
♦ KQJ83
♣ JT
LHO pard RHO you
2♥ .. 3♣ .. 4♥ .. ??
Options are:
Suit = nat, NF
Dbl = take out
4NT = RKCB for clubs (3041)
5♥ = undiscussed
5NT = pick-a-slam (pard will understand it)
By the way, a direct 3NT by pard would show a balanced 19-22 or thereabouts.
yER bID?

I think 4♠ is better than double. Don't imagine anything else.

I really expect more then just AKQXXX in clubs and out from partner.

It is hard to fathom that we have 2 losers (OK, pard could have xx Kx xx AKQTxxx). Even if I am wrong and the opps have 2 aces, they could misguess and bid 6♥. Or they could misguess the defense and fail to cash them.

That's exactly what happened, except that defenders didn't fail to cash their aces.. lol.
It's very hard to probe for slam at this level, so one has to decide whether to bid it or not straight away. Bidding it seemed like the percentage bid, in which case 5NT certainly would get us to the right strain. Too bad it was the wrong level.. lol. Must confess I was expecting more to try for the slam, though.
Thx all.
