I would bid 2♣ at MPs and pass at IMPs.
edit: I would also bid 2♣ opposite an unpassed partner

The white house junior tournament is currently on Vugraph. I find it hard to believe that a serious bridge player as yourself has never heard of the White House tournaments. This hand raised some interesting discussion among the commentators.

Actually I'm not sure if I qualify as a serious bridge player anymore. I've only travelled to a NABC twice in the past 3.5 years, each time for only one weekend, and have travelled to 0 regionals outside of the DC area in that time. I am planning to go to Vegas though. I also get bored easily when kibitzing so basically never do it =)

We are all connected to each other biologically, to the Earth chemically, and to the rest of the universe atomically.
We're in the universe, and the universe is in us.

lemme guess:
DON'T OVERCALL WITH 3 SMALL IN THEIR SUIT! DON'T OVERCALL WITH A BAD SUIT! DON'T OVERCALL WITH 5332!
OH THESE CRAZY JUNIORS, ALWAYS OVERBIDDING. SHOWING THEIR YOUTH WITH THIS OVERCALL, THEY HAVEN'T GONE FOR ENOUGH NUMBERS YET TO KNOW BETTER.

Close, it was more something like:
"The Swedish junior at the other table had more sense and passed. Really overcalling is borderline at best"
junior commentator: "I actually like the overcall, I guess it is a matter of style"
"No, it is a matter of experience. Juniors don't know what fear is. The Swedish junior is an exception, she bids very grown up for her age"
etcetera

If bidding had worked out the conversation would have been:
junior commentator: "The Swedish junior at the other table was too timid and passed. Really passing is borderline at best"
other commentator: "I think passing is the sensible call on this hand, the overcall was quite lucky"
junior commentator: "Most Juniors don't know what fear is. They may go for numbers sometimes, but they don't miss games. The Swedish junior is an exception, she bids more like an older person compared to others her age"
