You are South and hold the following hand in a team match against decent and reliable opponents:
Scoring: IMP

The auction starts:

West  North East  South
 -     Pass  1    21
 Dbl   Pass  32   Dbl3
 Pass4 Pass  45   Pass
 5    Pass  Pass  Pass

1 Weak, but with a passed partner, the singleton K and favorable vulnerability, I bid 2 anyway
2 Asking for a stop in spades
3 Please lead spades
4 No spade stop, perhaps a half stop
5 No stop / Don't want to play 3NT anyway

What is your lead?

The rest of the story, describing what happened at the table, is hidden:

Why did he ask for stopper with singleton K?

I didn't write: "against good opponents who are sharks and continuously steal game swings from you". ;)

If they haven't got a stopper why wouldn't I lead the A. At least I get to look at dummy most of the time

I lead the ace too. If my partner has the king nothing is lost at all.

And no, I do not like your reasoning.
Kind Regards

And more than that, it may be required to lead the ace if partner by some chance has a stiff king.

A every time.

Underleading A is too cute for me, so plunk down A.
