A and ruff a . It would be really nice if LHO showed out on the second one because you were going to finesse anyway now you have a better reason to finesse as you know the drop was never going to work.

It looks clear to play for the drop to me. If East has seven spades and no diamonds and at least two hearts, and West has two spades and six diamonds, then West is favourite to have the other heart on available spaces.

Given that we are not going to finesse, we should not bother trying to get to dummy and risk West ruffing in with the stiff king of hearts.

Hearts 2-1 with East started out favourite over 3-0 and that has not changed.

Finesse. I'm pretty sure a sim would favour this play at least in 3 to 2 odds.

Ruff a spade and finesse.

Do you want to count the hearts again?
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

I miscounted hearts too :( but I still think it's close because LHO might have bid with 3 with 1066 1165 2065 2164 3064 or 3163. With 3 or more and short he might even bid 5

Yes, and I have now changed my view and agree that the finesse is quite a bit better; I need a visit to Specsavers clearly.
