IMPs, none vul

x
QJ10
KJ87x
AQJx

1S - 2D
2H - 2NT
3H - ??

2D was GF, partner could have jumped to 3H immediately to show a good 5-5. What's your call?
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

I guess I can imagine a couple layouts where 3NT is better than 4 (AQJxx, xxxxx, Ax, x or something looks unpleasant on trump leads) but I'm no hero, easy 4.
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

I think this is closer than the voting so far, receiving the lead in 3NT will be very important.

If we avoid a spade lead in 3NT we are almost home, in 4 things can go messy if ruffing spades with QJ10 equals losing trumps.

I'd try 3NT at MPs, in IMPs its very clsoe and I have no idea what I'd do at the table.

why 3NT at MP and not at IMP? I thought the argument was that at MP 4M is better than 3NT if there is at least 1 trick difference and at IMPs 4M scores better only if there is at least 2 tricks difference.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Because missdefences allow you a lot of MPs in 3NT, but there is often a lot less work to do in 4M. Maybe because I am used of weak fields, but scoring 460 when everyone is scoring 420 happens a lot to me. In 3NT people don't wanna score their aces :(

I'll go for 3NT, despite the major fit. 9 tricks in NT are probably easier than 10 in hearts.
