Scoring: MP

Submitted by: Inquiry

Bidding script: West passes, East will bid 3 (if he can) as overcall or opening bid, and west
will raise to 4 if that bid is available.

We had a chance to get to 6 by North on this one, however, all of the E/W bidding made it very difficult to diagnose the Spade control.

I opened 2D with the North hand which systemically shows a preemptive hand with 4+ Diamonds and 4+ cards in either major.

RHO overcalled 3. We eventually landed in 4H in the North.

Why would you want to play 6D, it seems like a bad contract.

I doubled 3 then gib passed over 4 lol. I let it go, not knowing he had this hand. At least we beat anyone in a red suit slam.

Yeah Richard on a normal club lead 6 needs both hearts and diamonds to break and the spade onside. Not awful but I can't believe it's a favorite.

Yep, 6D is bad.

4H is a bit better from the north than from the south because of the spade 10.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

Well, other than punishing jdonn/gib, this hand is a push, so I have changed the scores to 6 for 4H and 0 for the unexpected 4C.
