Hi - welcome to the Forums :)

Click your own name, at the top of the screen. This will open your profile and you can edit it.

If you are using the older version of BBO, your name will be displayed at the top of the list of players in lobby.
If you are on the latest BBO version, your name is in the top right corner of the screen.

Another method is to click My BBO > User profile

Thanks for your quick reply.

I did as you replied and quickly go to the user profile, but I didn't see how to update the converntions.

Hate to be so thick, but......

Again, thanks

Hi,

Click in the box under "Other" and type there. Here's a video to show you how to do it:

Could Naples be referring to conventions in a Full Disclosure CC?

Used the "other" box with no problem.

Didn't know that was the place for conventions.

Thanks for the help.

I am having the same difficulty updating my profile. I've done all of the above suggestions, including looking at the video how-to, and when I'm in the "Other" box that contains all my various conventions, etc. I am unable to change or add anything. For instance if you look into my profile, (I don't know if you can but I hope you can) you'll note that the last entry is the word "Gerbe". I can't finish it by adding the "r". I also want to add "1430" after "Blackwood". Hope you can help me with this. Thanks, May

Hi May,

Welcome to the forums.

There is a limit to the amount of text one can enter in the profile (i think it's 100 characters). You probably typed too many words there and there is no more space. Try to filter out only the most important things you wish others to see when they check your profile, and keep it short.

The "Other" field is not specifically a place to list detailed system notes. You can fill in a CC with your favorite conventions and save it as "Favorite".

I just did it by going to My Account. Them updated under Other.

But, for some reason, I've had five stars next to Compatibility since joining BBO. And I'm only a Beginner.

Any advice on how to delete those stars, please?

The five compatibility stars are (I think) for compatibility with yourself. So no surprises there
