Hello, can you please help me with few doubts..
Playing E in MP

1.

What now? You know pard could bid 1s with 4 little spades and as little as 5 quacky points, or even 4HCP and some shortness.
Would X from you be a support double or penalty?

2.

Do you pass or bid spades? You know p loves to bid, and his overcall can be very light

Thanks : )

Yeah, double on the first one should be support, but you could agree otherwise.

I'd pass on the second one.

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

Besides playing for fun, most people also like to play bridge to win

what he said. bidding on the 2nd one is gross imo. if partner has a good hand he can act again at which point you will be delighted to offer your contribution.

As Hanoi5 says, but if you agree that it is NOT 3 card support, maybe you need to put more definition into that 1 bid. If that was a guaranteed 5 carder you can bid 2 of course. I'm happy to play it 4 or 5 when using a support double.

1) I would play supX here.

2) Easy pass with this junk. You may be able to bid later if PD shows strength.

I play supp Xs but I do not think they're mandatory over a 1N bid and I would pass. Pass on the 2nd one obv.
