We are behind in the series about 4000 imps to 37 lots
of ground to make up. We have THREE WEEKS to gather
volunteers and prepare. We have lots of thoughful posters
and I hope with 3 weeks notice we will have a strong turnout.
IMO if we have too many (am I being too optimistic?) that want
to play we should consider having a starting 4 and subbing
after 14 boards but we can all express an opinion about that also.

4/27 Saturday is good but I think my partner would need to have the game start 1 hour earlier which may be a problem for others.
I won't know for certain until next week.

Aquahombre, Han
A partial list of prolific BBO posters that have not tried
to represent the forum in play vs JEC. I know I would be
happy to partner with any of you. It's still a chance to play
against some of the best in the world for free no less.
Noone is going to agree with their partner on every detail
but we have all read each other's opinions and it should
not be overly difficult to find someone with similar opinions
to your own. I am trying to send an open inviation to those that
are writing on the forums and trying to help others improve
their games. CALL TO ARMS:)))

mgoetze was keeping track there is another thread in this forum for historians but he seems
to have diappeared. We lost the first 33 in a row then won the last one (almost 6 weeks ago)
and havent played them since. I sort of started doing this since mgoetze diappeared.
With any luck we will get back to an everyother week type schedule. Lots and lots of kibitzers watch
these matches (JEC is very popular) and it gives us a chance to show that the concepts and ideas
we present here for others to read and learn from are solid. The downside is since forum posters also
watch the matches the players can expect to see their name in print if things dont go ummm errrr
according to plan:)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

This is my first real chance to coordinate a game in advance-----I played in 3 others and the way it worked
was mgoetze gathered the names of players from this site and gave them to jec and they set up the match when
it was game time. I never had a clue who was going to play for JEC and they may not even know until the last
minute:)))))))))))))))))))) I am sure that it can be arranged for you to sit opposite JEC and partner vs opposite
moki/apron if that is what you mean since we can always put our request is as say JLOGIC/partner at main table
and poster/poster in closed room for ex:)))

pit their skills against the mighty JEC STARS is this right????????????????? Is it really
because we can't stand the idea of playing with someone new?? I have played with 4
different advanced players and lived to tell about the experience and won once-----I will
look back here in a couple of days and if no other volunteers I guess I will start contacting
friends to play with but this is a forum poster match and I hope some forum posters will
step forward and v\olunteer their time and expertise CALL TO ARMS
