After East's 1H opening how would the bidding go?

I would open the E hand, as most would, I suspect.
My auction has E/W ending in 2NT with no opposition bidding.

Yep, exactly.

1h-1s-2s would be more like it. with 3 card support and an unbalanced minimum it's normally better to raise, otherwise you might lose the spade fit - 1h-1s-2d-2h-2s shows this shape but 15+ points. this is normal among real advanced players. be warned that 95% of people you'll play with on bbo will expect a 4th spade though for the direct raise.

The East hand is the right shape for a 2♠ bid, but I would not do it on 3 small spades. I would rebid 2♦.

By the way, the title to this thread discusses light opening, etc. The East hand is by no means a light opening. This hand would be opened 1♥ by someone playing Goren standard in the 1950s - 11 HCP (and a pretty good 11 at that) plus 2 points for the singleton club.

Raising repsonder with only 3 trump is something to do when other bids are unsuitable for some reason. That is not the case here; 2♦ is normal.

Some souths might make a takeout double, which could change things.

We agree. Normal opening and I don't care for raising ♠ on 3 small when I can rebid 2♦.

wank, in some geos, experts also don't raise on 3. I'm not claiming to be what I'm not, but I don't think implying that all good players would raise to 2♠ here is necessarily correct.

Probably would pass in first position, and hope partner opens. If partner does open, game should have play.

Second or third, I might open, depends on my mood really.

Fourth position, definitely opening.

Thank you for all of your valuable opinions.I am used to naming all opening with less the 12 high card points "light".
Like 2D rebid rather than supporting spades with those three little cards.
