Hi All,

I have seen we can create a team match with our own deals, or at least with deals generated in the LIN format.
I haven't seen the possibility to do the same when playing casually at a table.

Did I miss something ? Why is this functionality blocked ?

Purpose is that we are 4, playing regularly and would like to practise some conventions like Rubensohl/Lebensohl.

Hi Steph,

You can load your own hands to
  • tournaments
  • team matches
  • bidding tables
  • teaching tables.
That is the way it has always been. If you are "four" you can load your hands into a teaching table. As you can imagine, it is hardly fair for someone to load their prepared hands into a main room table where 15 other tables play the hands were someone has potentially rigged them. In a tournament or team match, it is assumed the TD only knows the hands and the contest is fair. In bidding tables and teaching tables, the assumption is the student or the partnership is using them for educational purposes.
It has never been possible to load hands into the main room, etc. Just play your four in teaching tables.

As Ben says, upload the hands to a folder and then start a teaching table, using the Deal Source button to select the right folder. When you are hosting a teaching table the main Options button has an additional menu with Teaching options - this can be used to prevent the host seeing all four hands :)

I don't work for BBO and any advice is based on my BBO experience over the decades

HI,
When you add deal source to the practice table, do you have to manually click on the redeal option at the end of each board?
I have a folder created with 8 lin boards, but i have to redeal each time?

Regards
Margaret
