"At last: just calm down, this kind of disrupted boards happens every day in our bridge community. It will always be an inherent part of bridge until we move to a modern platform, and then will we have other hopefully less frequent issues." P Swennson

Back from a few fabulous days in Vegas.
Playing ACOL (!!) with my mum, posted a 73.81% game in the 1st round of the Gold Rush but bombed in 2nd round to finish 2nd overall.
Great location, great event, the ACBL need to purchase more women's t-shirts for registration packages and section tops!

Good job, Kathryn !! How did the rest of the week go for you?
We only went for 3 nights, playing Monday evening through Wednesday but it was a lot of fun. I love tournaments, especially the NABC's
I spent the first 2 days coaching Mum on the use of the pass card, I get my overbidding tendency honestly.
I picked up a few MP in side games with other partners, played in my first fast pairs event and wasn't impressed.
Half the field seemed to be there because they wanted to go partying in the evening and the other half sat and chatted
after the hands rather than keeping the game moving.
