How much shape/strength does 2D promise? If it is always 55 then we have a serious game try, otherwise I'll just pass.

I can not bid 2H as he can pass, so I imagine 2N asks to tell about overcall, you may make 4H here if thats the major.Would be nice to know what the follow ups are.

By accepting to play DONT, you accept to not investigate games, miss games, unless you have extraordinary hand, which you don't. Original DONT advocates even a 4-4 hand should get in, but if this is way too much for your taste 4-5 is most common. If you are playing at least 5-5 then you should not be playing DONT imo.

you shouldn't play this against a weak NT. by playing this method you're effectively saying you won't investigate game.

I don't normally play DONT, but what would 2♠ be here? If it's a paradox bid, then I'd be tempted to try that and maybe look at game if P bid on (unless by bidding it I'm suggesting an inv hand anyway, in which case I'd just respect whatever call he made in response).

It depends. If you are telling us that you would open every 6 card spades, such as Txxxxx xx x Kxxx weak 2♠ previously then I think you will not need a natural 2♠ bid over 2♦. You will definitely need it natural by an unpassed hand for obvious reasons.
