Hi, I'm a beginner-intermediate lower-case-S standard American player and I'd like to learn Acol and weak 1nt systems. How do I go about finding partners willing to be patient with me on BBO? Similarly I'm happy to provide basic SAYC-2/1 practice. Thanks.

Hello JLilly, my suggestion would be to visit the Acol Club on BBO and jump in with your profile set to beginner. After a while you will most likely meet some players that are similarly learning and be able to forge a regular partnership. There are also regular classes held in the club that you should be able to find out about and attend.

Thanks Z - how do I get to Acol Club?

It is one of the public clubs on the main BBO site. Instead of choosing the Main Bridge Club, follow the links to alternative playing areas and you will stumble across it. I have not used the flash client very much so I cannot remember the exact steps - perhaps Barry could post more detailed instructions if you have difficulty finding it.
