London Superleague. Do you bid again and if so what?
I prefer to give the lawmakers credit for stating things for a reason - barmar

Call me a wimp if you will but I'd just pass. We're at the 4-level, partner probably has a few spades but not much else, we're at unfavourable and the opps know almost exactly what each other have. It's a death trap.

You wouldn't reverse on this hand as an opener so why should you even contemplate as an overcaller showing s especially at red/white with a passed partner? That AK is already part of your overcall, and whilst the suit is long, it is also tatty.

You might have good play for a vulnerable sacrifice if partner turns up with the right cards and shape, but the 3 bidder could be unlimited. Better to keep quiet I feel.

I'm passing also. You've got a 5 loser hand and have no way to know if partner has any help. Down 2 Doubled or worse is an IMP disaster. Partner also rates to have some length. So defending might be right.

red vs white and unlimited (at worst invitational) lho and p failed to x 3c (an easy way to show some support even if weak). These warning signs are posted for a reason and if you should decide to test the waters anyway I sincerely hope you are not shocked when you get devoured by piranha (and dragging your poor innocent partner in with you).

Please pass and try to not lose the match on what possibly could be a part score hand.

I PASS now.

But, I'm not sure about my first bid.

Realistically, I have only one bid.

So, I'd seriously consider 3 as my first bid.

I have considerable, but narrowly focused, playing strength.

It will take very little from Partner to make 9 tricks.

Any takers?

D.

Pass.

I may have bid 3C, but 2C is ok, now I am finished.
Do I really want to suggest to sac. against 4S?

With kind regards
