IMPs, you're vul, they're not. Opps are "average club standard". Does North's double promise both majors? Who should bid 4H?

#1 X does not promise both majors
#2 If someone bids game, it is North, 3H should show (some) add. strength, and North has AJx in partners first suit,
but I dont think this is 100% clear cut.
It comes down to, how much add. strength South needs to bid 3H, ..., given that the X promises something like 8/9,
3H could already be game forcing, if an 8 card fit was found.

With kind regards

i guess u want to be there, but if that's the worst game you're ever missing ... meh, I wouldn't worry about it
"definitely that's what I like to play when I'm playing standard - I want to be able to bid diamonds because bidding good suits is important in bridge" - Meckstroth's opinion on weak 2 diamond
