Hi, When I start a Tournament in a Virtual Club, a default message appears to the effect that players' convention cards will default to SAYC. Is there a way to remove or edit this notice?

The virtual club I’m involved with is under the auspices ofthe Contract Bridge Association of Ireland. Only a small minority of our players would use SAYC.
If you go to Edit Tournament before the tournament starts you should find it is in the box labelled "Welcome" and you can edit it there. Remember to click Modify Tournament after doing it.

It is not in the Welcome field - it just appears automatically along with whatever is in the Welcome field
I am also running tournaments under the CBAI banner.
I suspect that different national organisations have different defaults

Only a small number of our users would use SAYC, too.
It's supposed to be a punishment. But it's like CCs (in the ACBL, anyway) IRL - if they have one, it isn't available for the opponents. If it is, it isn't the right one. But that doesn't matter, they're bidding their system anyway.
I would treat an unnamed SAYC card in your game the same way I do in mine: "they don't have one they're willing to show me. Guess I'll have to ask (a lot)."
Sorry, End Rant.
