Fun hand from a team match I just played. Puzzle for I/A - experts please use spoiler tags.



IMPs, both vul. West leads CK, East showing upside-down count with the 9, then switches to the DJ (standard leads from sequences). How do you plan to make the hand?

Delightful! Nice problem. Timing is all. Thank you for posting. Small hint. The 4th is a useful card if you can get to dummy.

Duck the J of D. 10 of d is with W.play One round of trumps and enter dummy with spades and tak hrt finesse. lose one d one sp one club assuming hrt finesse works

I do not see why you assume 10 with West. The switch looks normal and you would lead the J from any holding so as not to confuse partner holding KT

Equally I do not see why West switches, ruffing a club in hand does not help South
