can someone explain to me how 3 pairs are credited with the same number of matchpoints but there are 3 different percentages?
And also, sometimes, a pair with a higher no of matchpoints (and no sit-outs or averages) are given a lower percentage than another pair.

Suggest you provide the tournament number / date / and player IDs to BBO. Can't answer your question without more info.

It's called a rounding error. Calculate the %age score for each player on each board; but only to 4 sig figs ... 51.11% say. Thus, depending on the number of tables this number will be more or less accurate. Some scores get rounded up, some down. To calculate each pairs final score; add up the %age scores on all the boards played; divide by number of boards played. Some pairs can get lucky ... others not so. We've been doing it this way for the past [some number] years; why should we change now?
