The situation now is:
West's known to be 1-4 and East is 5-3 in the minors. Even though it was MPs and every trick matters, I thought should risk playing for the contract.
If West holds the ♠10 in addition to the (highly probable) ♥A, I could see a way to succeed. Take a non-material finesse of the ♠9 and lead a top ♥ to secure my contract. So I led the ♠6 from hand and West promptly rose with the ♠10 to deny me a second entry to dummy. Down 1!
