How many colorless points can count toward ACBL Life Master? By colorless I mean from BBO tournaments like ACBL Speedball - NOT ACBL Virtual Clubs?

Requirements for Life Master:
  • 500
  • At least 75 are black
  • At least 75 are silver
  • At least 100 are red/gold/platinum, of which 50 or more are gold/platinum

So 500-100-150 = 250 can be anything, including colourless.

Note that they have to be ACBL online points, not just BBO points (from other games awarding BBO points). However, they are ACBL online points, which are frequently larger than BBO points.

Note that although I am occasionally an ACBL TD, I never speak for them in these forums. I'm just reading the same web pages you are. If you need absolute confirmation, you should contact: "Masterpoint® questions (masterpoints@acbl.org)".

Wasn't there also a rule, at least at one point, that no more half of the points required to obtain a rank could be colorless?

It was a third. But they got rid of that rule years ago.
