I know it might seem strange but I thought you had to bid the suit below the singleton so resorting to 4 card majors I open 1 heart :)

Some people do, some don't, we open 1, but we're unusual in that we play 4M but open 1 with a 3442 strong no trump also. We don't mind occasionally admitting to a 5th card in a minor we don't possess, but don't like doing that with a major

Then what happens. What does partner have - 2D waiting or 2S

How will you bid this after opening 2 ?
We would typically bid 2 to keep out of the way of partner.
2 denies A or K
