Isn't GIB supposed to be good at spot play?

GIB probably would produce numerous bizarre decisions when it comes bidding, or defensive play. However, as a bot, is it true that bot supposed to be highly accurate and play spots off the card? After all, it is a computer and machines are supposed to be good at counting spots.

It seems not so.



After I opened weak 2D and N raised, I decided to lead the K of diamonds to see the dummy. Then I switched to a club. The contract was never in danger, until GIB carelessly "drew trump" with dummy's 9. Curtains! N got in, cashed the K of clubs and continued clubs, and a typical Flight C player would painfully watch my 8 spot overruffed in front of dummy.

Decent play by declarer GIB. A lesser bot declarer may have only taken 8 tricks.
