Blank Screen at Start of Round 2

I played board 1 in the Express - 4 Fast Boards #96224 just now. When the tournament went to round 2, the screen turned white where the table, cards, and other players usually are. I logged off and back on, was taken to the table, but then was immediately told I had taken too much time and removed from the table and could not be seated. Is this typical? Even though the entry fee is low, I don't enjoy throwing BB$ away on malfunctioning games. Please advise.

It's not typical and most likely not related to the game you were playing. Usually helps to clear browser cache every once in a while or try another browser.
