We have often seen how the bot takes a finesse, but the later play for the drop. Here 9 tricks was safe, but the bot finessed in the two-card ending and went down

Doubling spades with 4441 was too far outside the realms of possibility. As always, bid weirdly, and you'll occasionally get results.

Well, it was not the brightest declarer play by GIB, noticed how it plays before knocking out A.

At trick 8 it is seen that South had a single .

So with 2 cards the bot "knows" that south had doubles on either

642
KJT82
KT92
A

or

K642
KJ82
KT92
A

I am not sure what is most probable, but 3 (promising 15+ total points) make the last my favorite

But the main issue is taking a finesse for an overtrick

Well no, that's a side effect of the real issue, which is that it considers your first example impossible (or at least, extremely unlikely), due to having *two* more spades than promised.

Having made that assumption the finesse is an obvious play, so no secondary issues there.

But GIB is never going to be able to handle psychs.

I’m not sure it’s good form to post hands from other players, particularly if you are going to put their name in the title.

I think renaming the player as 'human' or whatever would normally be sufficient. But if she is well known or there are elements that permit people to locate the board in myhands then I would ask permission too.

I do not understand GIB declarer play here whatsoever! At trick 2 it plays a . Why? Something is very wrong with the program if it does not know that you set up tricks in your longest suit first in a NT contract is first priority.

I really see no problem in that, but perhaps there is something I am misunderstanding

I think there clearly is.
The player you named might object to others being invited to judge their play.
A question of privacy.
