I am unable to log into BBO via Safari on my MacBook Pro. The MacBook is a 2021 16-inch model running Mac OS 13.6 (aka Ventura). The version of Safari is 17.0.

When I access https://www.bridgebase.com I see a a mostly white screen with "BBO" in very large letters and a list of functions, none of which work properly including the "login" function. One of the BBO pictures (of 4 people playing) is visible part way down the screen. If I hit the "Login/Register" or "Home (current)" command, I see a blue screen with another familiar BBO picture (the woman who is at her computer, presumably logging in) and the words "BBO", "loading" (with an infinite loop circle), and "Version 6.11.0"). Nothing further happens.

I can log in via https://www.bridgebase.com if I use Firefox on the same MacBook Pro.

I was able to log into BBO via Safari on my MacBook Pro with no problem in June 2023.

What is wrong? Can it/Will it be fixed by the BBO software team?

Quick suggestion - have you tried clearing your browser cache? Sounds to me like your browser isn't loading the JS / CSS assets at all, so having some form of corrupted cache would be the most likely problem which that would resolve.

If you've cleared your cache and still nothing loads, what happens if you visit https://static.bridg...in.b27da573.css in your browser? (Should see a bunch of styling code, but perhaps that domain is somehow being blocked..)

IN RESPONSE...

I cleared all history (which should clear all caches). I quit out of Safari then started Safari, attempted to go to BBO login, and got the same result.

Going to https://static.bridg...in.b27da573.css gives me pages of code.

My only other suggestion would be to test in a private window and/or temporarily disable extensions.

I guess you could also open the browser console (Safari - Preferences - Advanced - Show Develop menu, then Safari - Preferences - Advanced - Developer - Show Error Console / Show Javascript Console) and see if there are any relevant looking issues anywhere if you're feeling adventurous :)
