You would have been shocked at anything but near unanimous if you ran a poll about 5cM in 1NT or control-bidding anything but an Ace not so long ago.
The ideas which have inherent sense will float sooner or later and continue to do so, the others will sink sooner or later, once Standard or not.
I even have some hope for my personal (to date) heresy of putting 5-3 majors through a 5-card Stayman rather than Jacoby transfer :)
