I suspect:

2 - 2
3 - P

3 opening is a possibility, but maybe a touch light at equal vulnerability, otherwise 1-2 is weak for me followed by 2. I would pass with a singleton

FYP, you've got a singleton

I like 3

Looking at these hands again and counting possible tricks playing an unbalanced .
1-2 6 weak
2N-3N
could work here, but you may end up struggling if North has more of a six pointer.

2 or 3 depending on which seat I was in. It is not reasonable to reach 3NT on a misfitting 23 in MP (unless you are Meckwell perhaps).

To the OP, mw6 was saying that if the South hand had had a singleton club, he would pass after 1 - 2. Then in the next post pushing on to game while holding a club void! Bridge is an easy game DD.

3 (on pescetom's sequence) or 3NT (after 3 opening), depending on my agreements.

I don't want to be in 3NT, but I bet I bid it if partner opens.

I get bad results all the time...
