Does robot read defender leads? GiB played differently to KA and AK leads

Why didn't the declarer draw trump when I played KA instead of AK? How does GiB interpret the lead?

Yes. GIB leads K from AKx+, and A from AK doubleton, and assumes others do too.

GIB is simulation based

Different cards lead to a different set of hands being generated for the simulation

Thanks for your explanation, that means I have to change my leads as I usually play top from sequence (A from AKx), and KA from doubleton with my regular partner.

I don't think GiB reads much specifically but occasionally gives the appearance of smart leads back
