Illogical play by robot

At the end of trick 4, West GIB finds the best play for +2 (low ♥ to dummy's ♥8 and my ♥10. At this stage, even I know that (given my minor suit holdings) I have no escape & anything I lead gives opps an extra trick. I decide to lead ♥2, fully expecting West to play the ♥4. Instead, West wins with the ♥9! I eventually score 6 tricks for a top.

To me, West's play looks 100% illogical. I opened with a 5-card suit and West knows my exact holding in hearts at the end of trick 5.

It does not make any sense for West to have played the ♥9.

Agreed. 100/100 success rate of playing the 4 for the old robot.

The bot was just being nice to you, not accepting your own bug to convert 1NT = to 1NT+2 by discarding a ♣. He must like you.
