We again have the pleasure of watching the GIB robots sitting East-West as they "defend":

This hand was played 21 times. In all cases, South was a human and West, North, and East were GIB robots.
The top NS score was 100% at the one table where NS doubled EW in 4S and beat it 4 for +1100.
The most common NS score was 57.50%...at 16 tables...where NS also beat 4S four tricks, but did not double, and therefore "only" scored +400.
At two other tables, NS scored 12.50% for beating 4S "only" three tricks not doubled.
At another table, NS scored 5% for beating 4S only ONE trick not doubled.
Thus, EW reached 4S at 20 of the 21 tables.
At the 21st table, SOUTH...opened 2S and played it there, scoring zero percent, as he went down 2 for minus 100, the ONLY negative NS score out of the entire 21 times the board was played.
But the STORY is the EW auction at 21 of the 22 tables - the GIB robot auction with some questionable bids and bizarre GIB definitions:
West's 4C bid seems peculiar, but the definition is typically worthless: "5+ spades; 21- HCP; 16-22 total points". That's it, that's all! Totally useless!
Next, East bids 4H on his 642 tripleton! WHY, pray tell?

West, North, and East are all GIB robots. East decides that the best opening lead he can POSSIBLY make is his stiff king of trumps (hearts). The GIB robots often make this lead. Is it a shock that it often works out poorly?

West, North, and East are all GIB robots. I took a shot at 3NT largely because I figured it was VERY likely that West would lead a heart, as in MANY similar previous auctions I have OFTEN seen the incompetent GIB robots lead the suit that the weak two bidder in dummy has opened. The GIB robots seem to think that this is a WISE leading strategy. That says a LOT about the GIB robots!
