Ok just saw Untraceable with Diane Lane. The movie is a serial killer movie, nothing special but the plot is a bit scary.
Create an internet site that makes your victim die faster the more people log on to watch.

I liked Cloverfield.

Saw the movie last night and liked it except for the last 20 minutes, which did seem tacked on. The relationship between the Eli and Plainview was underdeveloped. Eli probably had the potential to achieve what Plainview's (adopted?) son couldn't on account of a physical handicap, but he was handicapped by his mental attitude.
Plainview's character isn't exactly completely hinged either and it's difficult to guage exactly what drives his homicidal act at the end is driven by an act of revenge for his earlier willful humiliation or his contempt for weakness.
Anyway, certainly of better movies of the year IMO, on a list currently topped by "No Country For Old Men"...

I really liked There Will Be Blood and thought Daniel Day Lewis was phenomenal and that the musical score was very well suited to the movie.
The only parts of No Country for Old Men I liked were those involving Javier Bardem, who is awesome. The rest of it was boring as sh*t.

I liked the movie, music was ok......try their new CD Rainbows.
I also liked Lewis, he was in almost every scene. I understand Anderson wrote the movie with Lewis in mind for the main part.
My first job out of school was for Union Oil which plays a part in the movie. I spent my whole job wondering how everyone including me seemed to do nothing all day long and take all day to do it. I had so little to do all day long I ended up going to law school in my spare time.

I saw The Boss Of It All, a comedy of Lars von Trier. While its humor is not traditional, it works quite well and it has a general easy-to-digest thing going for it that does not for most of von Trier's work.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

A little late on this one, but agree with Noble's reccomendation for There Will Be Blood. Easily the best movie I've seen recently (and not-so-recently).

New Batman movie... Awesome! Unfortunately I also saw the Zohan movie (Sandler), which is quite possibly the stupidest movie in my life... And I've seen Freddie Got Fingered and a few others...

Saw the French thriller Tell No One last night.
Excellent. One of my top ten favorites of the year.
Based on the book by Harlan Coben, a good book also.
Batman was excellent but I think I enjoyed IronMan a bit more.

Agree with all three. "Tell No One" reminded me of "The Big Sleep" in terms of the labyrinthine plot, but amazingly enough they managed to it sort it all out by the end.

well i finally saw no country for old men, and i thought it was great... my only problem was the ending, if there's some hidden meaning there maybe on of you can reveal it to me... now i have there will be tears to watch, but based on reviews here i should enjoy it
