Scoring: IMP

Junior partner opens 1 (4+card). Normally his openings in 1st hand are ok, but they can be weaker with good shape.
1-(1NT!)-2!-(4)
Pass-(pass)-??
1NT=& (NonVul 4-4 or better, with 4-4 around an opening)
2=GF, 5+card

What do you bid now? Will you force to 6?
What is a 5 bid here?

Presumably partner's pass of 4 doesn't suggest much values in hearts so I will bid 5 showing 1st round control inviting 6 unless partner bids 5 I think.. Would 3 over 1NT be a GF fitshowing jump?
I'm kind of afraid LHO is 5-1 in the round suits and will be able to get a club ruff.

Basically you have been screwed by the auction and it is time to put your guessing shoes on. Partner looks to have no more than 3 so ought to have useful minor suit cards. I shoot 6 and hope his minor suits work out.

5 showing 1st control...any suit agreed?
I did bid 5 at the table, but it wasn't really clear what it meant.
Partner bids 6. What do you do now?

Dunno, seems lazy we could still have 7 easily. Partner's pass is forcing so he could have a reasonable hand. 5H followed by 6S seems better, if partner bids 7 over that it must be good.
