There isn't much more to be said. North is closer to a slam try than a competitive call. 100% North.

Guess this is what happens when you bid 2N on complete yarbs like xxx --- Jxxxx AKxxx (from another thread). 2N red/white shows a good hand, 4D is absurd.

Notice that even if we gave south a second spade instead of the sixth diamond (which is a lousy hand, not even really worth a red v. white 2NT bid) you still have very good play for a game contract. North takes the blame here.
