At any colors, the time to make a takeout for the other two suits was the previous round or never. Get in early or stay out, IMO.

With the given hand, my choice would have been to stay out at any vulnerability.

edit: well, maybe I would consider it favorable at BAM.

Yeech. If the consensus is that we should be competing with this, then I have to give a long hard think to how I evaluate these decisions. I always pass unless swinging hard. Maybe at Rubber bridge nonvul vs vul when they have 60 on I bid. I dunno.

Matchpoints not vul I would double.

I have nine cards in the two unbid suits and it's only the two level. I have passed twice so partner will not expect much. Defending 1NT doesn't have huge appeal either.
