Well, one reason may be that he has 22 points... surely 2NT (or 3NT) is correct

When I saw this thread title I was hoping it was another one of GIB's dodgy leads, so we could have something like

The issue is fixed for the next update.
GIB will give the corresponding bid with that hand 2NT - 2-5 ♣; 2-5 ♦; 2-4 ♥; 2-4 ♠; 21-23 HCP; stop in ♣

That's leads in the particular hand to 3NT by West after.

Rebid of 1NT is 19-20HCP based on the fact 1NT direct overcall is 15-18HCP.
