Here is one simple structure after jump to 3nt, you can play this over a 2nt jump rebid also.
4c/3c=checkback, slam try somewhere
4d/3d= checkback,game force only
4h/3h=weak
4s/3s=weak
Since I play 2nt jump rebid=exactly 17 HCP no need for invite.

I play that the jump to 3NT shows a solid suit and stoppers in all unbid suits.
Continuations are as follows:
A bid of 4 of partner's minor is RKCB
Any new suit bid is a cue-bid.
4NT asks for suit length (5C = 6, and so-on upwards)
If you play that it shows at most a 1 loser suit, you might need to change the responses.

Good question, as I expect most of us presume that partner will just pass
As most systems cover strong balanced hands below the level of 3NT, it does normally show a running minor with stops in the unbid suits. For instance, I think a typical hand would be:
♠Ax ♥Jx ♦Kx ♣AKQxxxx
Generally continuations should be based on a hand such as above.
Suppose the auction has gone: 1♣..1♥..3NT
In a pickup partnership I would expect 4NT to be quantative, a bid of 4♣ to show slam interest (and how to get to 4NT Blackwood), 4♦/♠ to be cuebids agreeing clubs, and 4♥ to be signoff showing longer hearts than my clubs.
As Mark and Mike show, an experienced partnership can spend more time on this auction but for a pickup I'd go with the above.

First of all, since
1m-1M
2NT
shows a balanced 18-19, then
1m-1M
3NT
can show a solid minor with a side stopper, e.g. Kx xxx x AKQxxxx. Therefore now
1m 1M
3NT 4m = to play if you respond 1x rather light, or otherwise RKCB for the long minor. Discuss with pard.
.......3om = can be used as RKCB if 4m is to play, or asking for controls if 4m is RKCB.
.......4M = to play.

I've made all 1x-3NT bids artificial on my system showing fit and slam interest so that awful auto-preemtive auction never happens.

P bids 3NT to right-side the contract. Maybe we should respect that by making an artificial slam try for the other minor?
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket
