MP, best hand South
I know that I have posted hands like this before. Hopefully repetition doesn't bore, but serves to clarify frequency and/or a pattern. Assuming that there is anything that should be done about it.

North denies game interest with the 2H bid, then subsequently forces to game. The only additional information available to North in the meantime is provided to him courtesy of the opponents.
Indeed, did I detect a slam try in there somewhere? Lesser issue, really.

It all worked out peachy, which causes me to question whether this really is a winning strategy.

GIB 2 bid gross underbid partner has bid 1N so has 2-3 and responder has 10 HCP + a singleton not in opener's first bid suit
I think I want to be in game at imps whenever partner has 3 and INV otherwise
even a 5-2 fit might make game if opener a max

Note the difference from other hand lycier posted3H rebid where GIB makes a 3 INV with no guarantee of a fit as opener had rebid a suit not NT
Sarcasm is a state of mind

I remain undecided about this hand. Aceltons are overrated. Also I think that rebidding 1N with singleton in responder’s suit is not the crime that some think. But I have to accept that GIB absolutely guarantees 2 or 3 support so have to live with that. I would not object to pass of the 1N rebid, or even 2D. 4H can easily fail, but the double of 2H raises the value of SQ.
I do have an issue with the description of the X of 3C. 2+ Clubs?? I don’t mind him doubling on the actual hand, as long as it describes the hand type. If South had 4 clubs with some intermediates and only 2 Hearts we would be wanting to crack 3C. But would rather that the X was a bit more commital as regards Club length v shortage. Even if it means defending a few hands undoubled where double would have profited. It is a price worth paying for the added confidence of making the right choice on the bulk of hands.

I think 2 (nmf) is clear over 1NT. 2 would be a sign-off.
