I have no way to understand why both of 2 and 2N can promise to force to game.

2D was forcing to 3NT, therefore any bid below 3NT is also forcing to 3NT. Now whether 2D should be forcing to 3NT, especially as a passed hand is another question.

Very true. And an easy one to answer, cannot possibly be forcing to game. The question is whether it should even be a one-round force.

I think it has to be, unless you have a gadget.

My "gadget" is that it shows a hand in the maximum pass range. Some may play this as natural, not forcing. I don't know anybody I think is good who plays this game forcing by a passed hand.

Other than drury or a few specific instances, GIB doesn't know to change its system by a passed hand.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

Could you please not quote me as saying something I did not say? Thank you, that would be much appreciated.

You fixed it incorrectly. Johnu and JDonn each made a statement. Lycier originally incorrectly attributed both statements to JDonn; you changed it to attribute both statements to Johnu.
