I begin by putting on my glasses so I can see the spot led by LHO, as well as read the entry about leads against NT on their convention card.

Exactly. If the hearts are 4-4 I may know right away or after ducking once. If that's the case I can win and overtake the ♠K and win with Jx or Tx or 3-3 in spades and either guess to go that route after ducking hearts twice or just play them to be 3-3.

I like GGWhiz's line.
Win the 3rd round of ♥s with ♥A,
hoping defenders don't switch to ♦s when ♥s are 4-4.
Overtake ♠K with ♠A.
Cash ♠Q.
- If a defender shows out, then play ♣K and finesse ♣J, hoping for 5 ♣ tricks.
- If both opponents follow to 2 rounds of ♠s then lead a 3rd, hoping an for a 3-3 split or a doubleton honour.
