New name, new price hike, same old GIB.

Bidding RKCB seemed the safest way to coach it to 6, even though 4NT as a 0314 ask in clubs is fairly useless.
But Declarer play is supposed to be the robot's thing.

So What goes on at trick 5 here ?

2 shows the majors; as usual GIB assumes opponents play its system and don't make wild psychs, even if it has a 100% line that doesn't rely on this assumption.

Yes I did guess that absurdity, thanks. But it would not be an excuse even if the terms of contest were to play such an awful agreement, which they were not. The robot had a clear 100% line and in any case it cost nothing to ruff high, as it had done just two tricks previously. This is not competent bridge.
These robots are rented for cash as "Advanced" and European law has a "fit for purpose" criterium.

Even conceding that it was confused by the overcall, I struggle to see why it should place the remaining trump in North: even if the 2 bidder was obliged to be exactly 4=4 in the majors surely he could still have a fourth Diamond, and if not, have only majors left? Is this documented anywhere by BBO? All I see in the Gib System Notes is that it plays "Cappelletti when opponents open 1NT (aka Hamilton)".

Why is any of that relevant? No matter who has the last trump, the only time a diamond loses is if North holds 7 of them, which is a 100% impossibility for a hand which showed the majors. The reason it ruffed high earlier was because it chose a trump at random, not because it thought North might hold 8 diamonds.

As for the rest, arguing that GIB should be improved is pointless.

Oh, I thought you were talking about my bidding.

Thank you very much.
It is reassuring to know that there is sanity and responsibility in BBO after all :)
