I am sure there are advantages to the new version which I will learn over time.

You can ignore posts by specific users now. Or you can vote their posts down

Some have complained about red. My messages come up light blue on a gray background. I apologize if this has already been mentioned but they are so hard to read that I cannot make it through the previous messages. I hope there is something I can do else you are about to lose a poster.

Ah figured it out.

You use multiquote and the "add reply" button at the bottom of the page.

I selected the multiquote button at the bottom of your post (the button is now highlighted in green), and clicked the 'add reply' button at the bottom of the page, but ...

You need to multiquote multiple posts.

OK, I thought you had figured out how to do nested replies without doing it by hand (I had to move the quote tags around to get this nested reply).

Did the old forum have "Toggle this category"? If it did, I never noticed it. If it's new, I like it -- I can now hide the International Forums category. It would be nice if we could also hide individual forums within a category.

I don't like the idea that there is a quota on like/dislike votes.

When I noticed that the forums was going to be changed, I really hoped it would be like my favorite forums. What I really like about it is a bunch of buttons on the bottom of each post:educational, interesting, funny, agree, disagree, love. So basically every post was like a poll. It really helped get a consensus of what is going on. I think that agree/disagree would be much more relevant than like/dislike (it's less clear what one "likes" about a post, than whether someone agrees or disagrees).

I miss the "go to top"-button (the one with the up-arrow) on the right side of each reply.

Can we delete our own posts in case we said something really ridiculous and don't have a good alternative answer?

How do I quote someone that is not in the thread? If I use tags, I can no longer write something like (quote=External Bridge Expert)3NT is very bad here, any decent bridge player would see that.(/quote), now if I replace the parentheses with square brackets I get:

Quote

3NT is very bad here, any decent bridge player would see that.

Of course I can still name my source outside the quote but it would be more convenient to do the old way somehow.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Also, where's my photo? I uploaded it yesterday, after the change to the new software occurred. Sorry, I don't want to complain about everything, just curious..

I don't like the looks of it, but I guess it's a matter of getting used to.

It would be nice if we could customize the colors we see and stuff.

I think I could see more posts without having to scroll up or down before than now. Is that because of my screen size or because of the new look?

I'll see what else I can do and maybe edit this later.

I don't know if this has been addressed, but there seems to be some problem with myhands on Opera. I can't see the whole pics, like the resolution is wrong or something. It might be there are some options I should change on Opera, I'd like to know :)

[Hey there, I can read this! So I have found how to adjust the size of my own input. Is there an option to take the existing posts of others and resize the fonts? Also, is there a "read me" somewhere that explains how to use the features? I have had two messages saying that people have added me as friends. I am flattered and delighted, but I have no idea how to use this feature. I went to "manage friends", a somewhat unfriendly thought if taken literally, and as near as I can see it only offers the option of deleting friends. I am also offered the option of saying something about their reputation. Hmmmmm.

Computer folks often swoon over fancy features. The rest of us like simplicity. And large fonts. Not in light blue on gray background. Incidentally, I always have found it very easy, with no technological help whatsoever, to ignore posts from people whose opinions I don't care to hear. But really often I scan them anyway and not infrequently I find them more interesting than I expected.
